Travel // Glamping in Leckford, Hampshire

Now, I need to start this with a disclaimer – my husband works for the John Lewis partnership which have a number of UK holiday destinations for staff and their families to use, this was one of them! So unfortunately (for you, not me – soz), this isn’t somewhere that you will be able to stay, BUT we loved it so I just had to share it.

We stayed in a beautiful safari tent, this was kind of a step up from glamping as we had proper beds! And a fridge! And a stove! And a power outlet! Ok, so it had pretty much everything bar a bathroom, and that was only about 25 metres away…

The site is on the Waitrose Leckford estate in Hampshire. I think it might be one of my favourite counties in the UK, and the weather we had just made it look even more beautiful. We visited some private water gardens on the estate which was so tranquil, until Daisy started wanting to just dive in the water which kind of ruined the peace a bit… There is a gorgeous farm shop too (this bit is open to the public ;-P), and boy do I love a farm shop lunch!

The site also had brilliant amenities, including a lovely restaurant and bar, a little shop, an outdoor playground area and sandpit, plus an amazing games room with soft play and toys for the kids. One of the other perks is they had passes for all the local attractions, that you could get on a first come first served basis, so we visited a local farm park, Finkley Down, and Beaulieu motor museum, for completely free! We had so much lovely, quality, family time.

We finished the holiday with 2 days at Legoland, but it was so busy that I just didn’t take very many photos! I did film though so watch out for a vlog coming soon, plus one of our glamping experience too.

I can’t wait for our next little trip together, and as much as I ADORE travelling abroad, it just goes to show that you don’t always need to travel far from home to spend quality time together as a family.

All the love, Sian x
