Home // Downstairs Cloakroom Mini-Makeover On A Budget

We bought our family home 4 years ago and the plain walls are starting to call out for some colour! But, as with everything in our life (apart from holidays obviously *rolls eyes*), we are on a budget. We have renovated our downstairs loo by spending as little as possible, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the result.

The ‘before’ photos –

Very plain and boring

I decided to use the colour that we used in our kitchen, because I love it so much, and it has worked just as perfectly in this room. Here are the ‘after’ photos (any descriptions under photos will be links to the products) –

Paint – Craig & Rose – Paynes Grey

Tile Stickers – Wall Genie – So quick and simple, and a lot easier than replacing the tiles.

Remember that Method phase the whole of instagram went through? I’m still in it! And now my favourite hand wash matches the bathroom…

Geometric Mirror – Lisa Angel

Pot – Ikea, Plant – Ikea, Crate – Waitrose, Towels – Morrisons, Brush – Ikea,

Print – Desenio, Frame – Desenio, I added the twine to coordinate it with the mirror

The end result is more than I imagined, the print being my favourite part. Eventually we will probably hang the plant by the mirror, but for now it will live in that corner.

What I spent on new items (everything else we had already):

Print & frame – £23.90

Mirror – £12

Paint – £15

Tile Stickers – £6.99

Plant & pot – £10

Toilet brush – £5.50

Total – £73.39

I love our new little space, and I can’t wait to share more projects in the future.

Sian x
